Before Calling for Service
Before you call Customer Service:
Please check whether you can troubleshoot yourself based on the following information.
Customer Service will charge you for advice – even if the appliance is still under guarantee!
Appliance

Appliance has no refrigeration
capacity.
The light does not work.
The display does not
illuminate.
The refrigeration unit is
switching On more frequently
and for longer.
The temperature in
the Refrigerator Compartment
or Freezer Compartment is too
cold.
The light (LED) does not work. The LED lamp is defective.
You experience unpleasant
odors.
Display indicates "E..".
Display indicates
"LOWPOWER".
Display indicates
"HIGHVOLT".
Condensation forms on the rail
on the left door.
Ice maker
Fault
The Ice Maker doesn't work.
Possible cause
Appliance has been switched Off.
Power failure.
The fuse has been switched Off.
The Power Plug has not been
inserted properly.
Appliance opened frequently.
The Ventilation Openings have been
covered.
Large quantities of fresh food are
placed in the freezer.
Temperature has been set too low.
Light switch is jammed.
Strongly smelling food is not sealed.
Electronics have detected a fault.
The mains voltage falls below
the permitted limiting value.
The line voltage exceeds
the permitted limiting value.
Condensation of warm air.
Possible cause
Ice Maker is not connected
to the power supply.
Ice Maker does not contain any fresh
water.
The Freezer Compartment tempera-
ture is too warm.
Remedial action
Press the POWER Button.
Check whether the power is on.
Check the fuse.
Check whether the Power Plug is secure.
Do not open the appliance unnecessarily.
Remove obstacles.
Switch Super Cooling and/or Super
Freezing On.
Increase the temperature (see chapter
Selecting the Temperature).
Call Customer Service.
Check whether it can be moved.
Clean the appliance. Seal strongly smelling
food (see chapter "Odors").
Call Customer Service.
When the line voltage reaches the stipulated
value again, the warning message goes out.
If the warning message lasts for longer,
inform the energy supply company.
When the line voltage reaches the stipulated

Switch on heater in the rail (see chapter
"Special Functions", section "Door Rail
Heater").
Remedial action
Call Customer Service.
Ensure that the water is properly connected.
Check Freezer Compartment temperature
and, if required, set slightly colder.
