Pictograms
The meanings of the pictograms
attached to or embossed on the
machine are explained in this manual.
Depending on the model concerned, the
following pictograms may be on your
machine.

The individual steps or procedures
described in the manual may be marked
in different ways:
A bullet marks a step or procedure.

DANGER

this manual. If the operating
characteristics or the appearance of
your machine differs from those
described in this manual, please contact
your STIHL dealer for assistance.

Important Safety Instructions

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
When using electric lawn mowers, basic
safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and personal injury, including the
following:
1. Avoid Dangerous Environments –
Do not use lawn mowers in damp or
wet locations.
2. Do Not Use In Rain.
3. Keep Children and Bystanders
Away –
All bystanders should be kept a safe
distance from work area.
4. Dress Properly –
Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry. They can be caught in
moving parts. Substantial footwear
is recommended. Never wear
sandals, tennis shoes, flip flops or
similar footwear or go barefoot.
Wear heavy-duty work gloves (e.g.
made of leather or other wear-
resistant material) when
transporting the mower or carrying
out work on the mower blade.
5. Use Protective Glasses –
Always use an approved face or
dust mask if operation is dusty.
6. Use the Right Appliance –
Do not use the lawn mower for any
job except that for which it is
intended.
