MAINTENANCE
13.
WARNING NEVER ATTEMPT TO REVIEW OR REPAIR THE UNIT WITHOUT HAVING PREVIOUSLY
DISCONNECTED FROM THE CURRENT. CHECKING THE OPERATION OF THE UNIT WHILE IT HAS VOLTAGE
MAY CAUSE SERIOUS ELECTRIC SHOCK DUE TO POSSIBLE ACCIDENTAL CONTACT WITH POWERED PARTS.
Periodically clean the welder using a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Keep the vents free of dust
and dirt and if they cannot be easily removed use a damp cloth with water and a little soap. Never
use solvents derived from petroleum, alcohol, etc. they can damage the plastic parts of the machine .
 Clean the dust at regular intervals of time with clean, dry compressed air; If the working conditions
have heavy smoke and contamination, the welding machine should be cleaned once a month. When
using compressed air, the pressure must be reduced to avoid damaging the small parts of the welding
machine.
 To avoid problems caused by water or rain, keep the machine dry and check the insulation with a
multimeter (including the one between the AC connections and between the housing and the AC
connections). Only continue the welding process when there are no abnormal phenomena.
PROBLEM RESOLUTION
14.
IN CASE OF NON-SATISFACTORY OPERATION BEFORE SERVICING THE MACHINE, OR REQUESTING
ASSISTANCE, CARRY OUT THE FOLLOWING REVISION.
 Check that the welding current, which is regulated by the potentiometer with an Ampere scale, is
correct for the diameter and type of electrode in use.
 Check that when the main switch is on, the power indicator LED turns on. If this is not the case, the
problem is in the electrical network (cables, plugs, sockets, fuses, etc.)
 Check that the yellow LED is not lit (that is, that the thermal protection or for very low or high voltage
is not activated)
 Check that the use of the machine is respecting its duty cycle. In case there is an interruption of the
thermal protection, wait for the machine to cool down, check that the fan works correctly.
 Check the mains voltages, if it is above 265 V ~ AC or below 95 V ~ AC, the machine does not work.
When the voltage is within these values, the restart is automatic.
