5 - MAINTENANCE
5.2 Special maintenance
WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance, wear heat resistant gloves. The compressor head block (17), the copper hose
(20) and the pilot valve/unloader (13) get extremely hot.
WARNING!
Before carrying out any maintenance work, remove the PTO shaft (33) from the tractor and discharge the air from the
air tank by opening the air exhaust tap (16) placed under it.
Special maintenance work is to be performed by qualified mechanics.
5.2.1 Changing the oil in the compressor
NOTE
Perform this operation with the compressor warm, after it has operated for a period of time.
•
Remove the dipstick (19).
•
Loosen the drain plug (25) and allow the oil to flow out.
•
Put the drain plug (25) into place.
•
Insert the suitable oil (see table) through the hole (19) until the max level seen in the sight-glass (26) is reached.
5.2.2 Tightening the drive belts
NOTE
The drive belts must be adequately taut at all times to avoid slippage
•
Loosen the nuts (23).
•
Adjust the tensioner, located under the compressor frame, by turning the nut (24).
•
After tensioning the belts (22), tighten the nuts (23).
5.2.3 Replacing the drive belts
NOTE
•
The drive belts must always be tensioned in order to avoid their slipping.
•
To replace the drive belts, please contact a Campagnola authorised service point.
WARNING!
Do not operate the compressor without protections.
5.2.4 Replacing the pilot valve/unloader muffler (13)
•
Remove the filter and replace it.
5.2.5 Servicing the pilot valve/unloader (13)
Contact the nearest Campagnola authorised service point.
5.2.6 Repairing the fittings (6) and (10) because of air leaks
•
Unscrew the fitting, repair its thread with TEFLON and then tighten it again.
•
If this does not work, the fitting needs to be replaced.
