5. STORAGE
The FUGE TAIL breathing apparatus herein described shall be stored in suitable areas at normal room temperature,
away from sun light, heat sources, humidity and corrosive chemicals.
FUGE TAIL can be kept in its original carton box, where components are singularly packed. On packaging and at the
end of this booklet special pictograms indicate suggested storage conditions.
6. TRANSPORT
The apparatus in its original packaging does not require special care for its transport. Follow anyhow what specified
for storage.
7. CERTIFICATIONS
The FUGE TAIL meets EN 402 and EN 14593‐1 standard and complies with PPE (89/686/EEC) and PED (97/23/EC)
directives.
PPE: Notified Body for type testing and production control to article 11.B of 89/686/EEC: Italcert Srl, Viale Sarca 336,
20126 Milano – Italy, n° 0426.
PED: The apparatus is made to conform to requirements of Forms B+D of 97/23/EC (Pressure equipment directive).

Note PPE and PED: certifications include only the use of valve‐cylinder assemblies as shown in SPASCIANI certificates.
Assemblies obtained with cylinders other than those, even if on their own conforming to PED and/or national
regulations, are not considered as compliant for the complete SPASCIANI assembly.
8. MARKING
The information required by the standard are given on a metal tab on the harness.
Actual markings are:
A) Name of apparatus
B) CE marking showing compliance with essential requirements of 89/686/EEC and 97/23/EC followed by the
identification number of the Notified Body performing production control.
C) serial: six digits and a letter indicate year of production, type of apparatus, serial number
D) expiry date
E) date of production
F) reference standards: EN 402 class Cl.15 (15 min) and EN 14593‐1
G) minimum and maximum working temperature
H) maximum pressure of operation
I) pictogram "see directions for use"
On pressure reducer, six digits and a letter indicate the serial number of the reducer, the same is shown on the
harness tab (see point C above).
