B2 OPTIONALS INSTALLATION
B2.1 BravoMAX A filters with motorized drain valve (optional)
BravoMAX A with motorized drain valve. Motorized valve electrical connection.
In particularly heavy operations, the presence of high quantity of sedimentable material (ex. sand) may lead to a bad
functioning of the BravoMAX A filters drain system. In these cases the filter can be equipped (upon request) with a
motorized drain valve directly managed by the filter electronic panel. The motorized valve supplied is directly
managed by the filter electronic panel and the electrical connection is carried out following the scheme. As an
alternative the motorized valve can be managed by the auxiliary external board
(optional) which allows to manage up to 4 solenoid valve.
Motorized valve features (optional upon request)
Type of valve:
2 way with direct transfer, Brand F.A.R.
Valve body:
brass CW617N
Seals and gaskets:
PTFE and EPDM
Nominal pressure:
16 bar
voltage:
24V/50Hz
B2.2 Backwashing solenoid valve (optional)
BravoMAX A is equipped with an automatic filtering cartridge backwashing system.
In order to obtain the maximum backwashing efficiency during filter cleaning no water withdrawal should be allowed.
To avoid this occurrence it is advisable to install a solenoid valve downstream of the filter. BravoMAX A filters are
equipped with a voltage free signal that can be used to manage solenoid valves, pumps, alarms, etc...There are no
special requirements about the type of solenoid valve to install (it is possible to install 12V supplied solenoid valve,
24V supplied solenoid valve or 230V supplied solenoid valve).
In case you install a time delay solenoid valve, in order to enable the solenoid valve to completely close before the
start of back washing operation, the output signal from the filter is given with an adjustable advance(0 sec., 30 sec., 60
sec., 100 sec.)
In particular, 3 and 4 switches of the DIP SWITCH (see below) are dedicated to the management of the duration of the
waiting time before the back washing: the filter emits a signal useful to control solenoid valves earlier than the
washing cycle. Such advance can be adjusted to 0 sec., 30 sec., 60 sec., 100 sec. according to the DIP SWITCH 3 and 4
(see below) position.
Warning! The electrical signal of the filter cannot be used as an electrical power supply for solenoid valves.
The electrical signal is a voltage free contact where it is no possible to apply any load. The solenoid valve
installed must be supplied with an independent panel.
