Assembly

Fitting the Close Coupled Pump 505L Adaptor
Ensure the drive/motor flange mounting threads are free from dirt and oil
l
Fit the adaptor over the drive shaft and locating boss.
l
Align the adaptor horizontally/vertically so the four location holes are aligned with the threaded
l
gearbox holes.
Secure the 505L Adaptor to the drive with the four retaining screws supplied, using a suitable No 2
l
Pozi drive screwdriver.
Fitting the 505LA Pumphead
Ensure that a suitable braided earth cable has been fitted to an earth point on the selected drive.
l
Check the drive manufacturers manual for a suitable earth connection point.
Grease the drive shaft tongue.
l
Position the pumphead centrally on the front face of the drive and manually turn the pumphead
l
rotor until the slotted rotor shaft engages with the tongue of the drive shaft.
Align the two lower pillar locating studs on the adaptor with their respective holes on the pumphead
l
and the two retaining screw holes on the pumphead with the respective middle pillars on the
adaptor.
Secure the pumphead to the drive with the two M5 x 10mm retaining screws supplied using a
l
suitable screwdriver.
Secure the earthing cable braid to the pumphead.
