Dismantle the Round Draft Shield,

Weighing Pan, and Associated

Components

Material: 1 soft support base
Requirements
− The device is switched off.
− The device is disconnected from the power supply.
Procedure
9.2

Cleaning the Device

NOTICE
Corrosion or damage to the device due to unsuitable
cleaning agents .
Do not use corrosive, chloride-containing, or aggres-
t
sive cleaning agents.
Do not use cleaning agents that contain abrasive
t
ingredients, e.g. scouring agents, steel wool.
Do not use solvent-based cleaning agents.
t
Only use suitable cleaning agents (materials, see
t
Chapter "15.6 Materials", page 44) and observe
the product information for the cleaning agent used.
Procedure
NOTICE Malfunction or damage to the device due
t
to the ingress of moisture or dust.
Only slightly moisten cleaning materials, such as
t
cloths.
Remove dust and powdery sample residue with a
t
brush or hand-held vacuum cleaner.
Wipe the device and the associated components
t
with a slightly damp cloth. Use a mild soapy solution
or a suitable cleaning agent for more severe contami-
nation.
Remove the cover and
t
the round glass ring
and place on a soft
surface.
Remove the weighing
t
pan, pan support, and
the base of the draft
shield.

Installing the Draft Shield

9.3.1

Installing the Analytical Draft Shield

Procedure
If this relates to a device with a shield disk: Install the

shield disk, the pan support, and the weighing pan.
If this relates to a device without a shield disk: Install
t
the pan support and the weighing pan.
Connect the device to the power supply (see Chap-
t
ter "6.2 Connecting the Power Supply", page 19).

Installing the Round Draft Shield

Procedure
Install the draft shield (see Chapter "5.4.2 Installing a

Device with Round Draft Shield", page 18).
Connect the device to the power supply (see Chap-
t
ter "6.2 Connecting the Power Supply", page 19).
