Description
The DD300-P series detector is a verified PIR and should be
installed to maximise PIR detection. The best detection is
therefore obtained with the expected movement of an intruder
perpendicular and/or diagonal to the mounting location.
Siting the detector
See Figure 1c.
The dual technology processing of this detector is very
resistant to false alarm hazards. Nevertheless avoid potential
causes of instability such as:
•
Direct sunlight onto the detector.
•
Heat sources in a field of view (heaters, radiators, etc.).
•
Strong air draughts onto the detector (fans, air-
conditioning, etc.).
•
Large animals (cats, dogs) in a field of view.
•
Moving objects (signs, mobiles, etc.).
Mounting instructions
See Figure 1a.

2.
Open the detector (item 2) and remove electronic module
(item 3), taking care not to touch pyroelectric sensor
(item 4).
3.
Break out one or both cable entry holes (item 5) as
required.
4.
Select mounting holes for corner (item 6) or flat wall
(item 7) mounting.
5.
Use the base as a template for marking screw hole
locations on the wall.
6.
Fasten the base to the wall.
7.
Strip cable for 5 cm and pull it through the cable entry
holes (item 5) and strain relief (item 9). See Figure 1b.
8.
Replace the electronic module (item 3) and wire detector
as shown (Figure 2).
9.
Replace cover (item 2), insert screw (item 8) and replace
cover plate (item 1).
The detector should be mounted at a height of 1.8 to
3.0 meters.
Walk test LED functions
See Figure 2.
To walk test the DD325-P/DD326-P make sure jumper J3 is in
the ON position or the LED is enabled remotely.
In the DD335-P/DD336-P the LED must be enabled by
applying a "CV" signal to terminal 10.
