Checking for gas leaks
- Work outside, away from all sources of ignition. Do
not smoke.
- Make sure both control knobs (1) are in the "off" ( )
position.
- Use a gas leak solution to test for leaks.
Important: never use a naked flame to check for gas
leaks.
- Apply the solution to the connections cylinder/regula-
tor/appliance (see arrows on figure 8).
- Bubbles in the gas leak solution indicate that there
are gas leaks.
- The leak can be stopped by tightening the device
connections or replacing any faulty component. The
appliance must not be used until the leak is stopped.
C - USING THE COOKER
Important: do not use your device with the gas car-
tridge valve in a downwards or horizontal position.
The gas cartridge must be positioned vertically
(fig. 8).
Caution: never use the stove with the two pan sup-
ports in their storage position (see figures below).
PIEZO lighting (fig. 10 and 11)
- Open the gas by turning the control knob (1) of the
corresponding burner anti-clockwise and press the
Piezo ignition button (5) one or more times until the
burner lights.
Manual lighting (fig. 13)
- Bring a lighted match close to the burner.
- Open the gas gradually by turning the control knob
(1) of the corresponding burner anti-clockwise.
- Adjust the flame to the size of the receptacle used by
opening the tap more or less.
Extinguish (fig. 4)
- Close the gas by turning the control knob (1) of the
corresponding burner clockwise as far as it will go
( o f f p o s i t i o n
). Tighten the wheel fully to ensure that
the gas is shut off correctly.
D - DISCONNECTING THE GAS CARTRIDGE
The cylinder may be removed even if it is not
empty. Replace the cylinder outside and away from
other people.
- Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Ensure that both gas taps (1) are closed (
them clockwise ("off position ) (fig. 4).
- Holding the EASY CLICK (3 - fig. 9) connector, loosen
the gas cartridge by turning it in the direction indicated in
figure 9, then remove.
- To take off the screw connector (3), unscrew it from the
device and carefully pull it off (fig. 9).
- Never throw away a cylinder which is not empty
(check there is no sound of liquid sloshing when sha-
king it).
E - ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
Never use your equipment at a distance of less
than 30 cm from a wall or combustible object.
Position the equipment on a stable, horizontal
surface.
Do not move it when in use to prevent large fla-
mes caused by liquid butane combusting instead
of vaporised butane. Should this occur, position
the equipment and turn the tap off.
In the event of a leak (smell of gas), close all val-
ves (
F - MAINTENANCE
If you take regular care of your device, it will provide
satisfaction for many years.
- Do not clean the device when it is operation. Wait until
it has cooled down to avoid burns due to touching hot
parts (pan supports). Clean the device after you have
removed the gas cartridge (see paragraph "D").
- During cleaning, be careful to avoid clogging the bur-
ner holes. If the holes are clogged, for example by
food spilling over, open them with a non-metal brush.
- Clean greasy parts with soap and water or a non-
abrasive detergent.
- Remove the pan supports. Clean all parts of the devi-
ce and dry them.
- If the PIEZO electrode (4 - fig. 1) is wet, the device will
not light. Wipe and then dry it with a cloth.
G - STORAGE AND TROUBLESHOOTING
Once your equipment has fully cooled
- Remove the cylinder as indicated in paragraph D.
- Place the pan supports (2) in their storage position:
remove them, turn them over and place them down-
wards around the burners (see fig. 17). Make sure
you do not place them on the Piezo electrode (4).
- Store the regulator (3) near a burner (fig. 17).
- Close the stove (fig. 18) and put the latch (8) in the
centre of the handle back in place (fig. 19).
- Store the stove and its cylinder in a cool, dry and ven-
tilated area, out of reach of children, and never in a
basement or cellar.
- In the case of the injector becoming clogged (the
cylinder still contains gas but the equipment will not
light), do not try to unclog it yourself. Return the
equipment to your retailer.
- If you use this equipment indoors, the area must obs-
erve elementary ventilation conditions enabling the
supply of air required for combustion and avoiding
any build-up of a dangerous mixture of non-burnt gas
(2 m
