Attach and remove processor

To attach, slide the cover onto the processor.

To remove, pull the cover away from the
processor.
Note: Snugfit, Mic Lock, and Processor covers are
available as accessories. For more information,

Replace microphone protectors

Replace your microphone protectors every three
months, whenever they look dirty or whenever
you notice any loss in sound quality. Always
replace both microphone protectors at the same
time.
Remove microphone protectors

Remove the protective cap from the
Microphone Protector Removal Tool.
Push the tip of the tool into the middle of the

microphone protector.
Turn the tool 90° clockwise.

Lift out the microphone protector and discard.
Repeat steps 2 to 4 to remove the other
microphone protector.
Insert new microphone protectors

Pull the Microphone Protector Applicator out

of its sleeve.
With the microphone protectors facing the

processor, gently push the slotted end of the
applicator under the coil cable plug.

Lay the applicator over the processor,
aligning the microphone protectors with the
microphones.

Press the microphone protectors all the way

into the microphone holes one at a time.
Remove the applicator carefully, peeling it
5
upwards from the earhook end.
Change the Earhook
Earhooks come in large, medium and small
sizes. The smallest earhook can be made tamper
resistant.

Press firmly on the top of the Earhook with
your thumb and click it off the sound processor.
Click the Earhook into place.

Note: Remove your Earhook only when necessary
– it may become loose if it is removed too often.
Assemble and change cables

Changing the cable is something you should only
have to do occasionally. Using the correct method
reduces the risk of accidentally damaging the cable
and the cable sockets in the Sound Processing unit
and the Actuator unit.
Remember to leave the Actuator unit connected
when storing the sound processor in the Dry &
Store unit overnight.

Hold the cable by the grips and firmly pull
it straight out of the socket on the Sound
Processing unit. Do not twist.

Hold the base of the plug and firmly pull the
cable.
To attach a new cable, push the cable plug into

the Actuator unit until it clicks into place.

Push the cable into the cable socket on the
Sound Processing unit until it clicks into place.
