New battery, or one that has not been used for a long time, will reach full
efficiency after approximately 3 to 5 charge/discharge cycles.
• Remove the battery (6) from the device (fig. A).

progress.
• Green diode lit (red diode turns off) – the battery is fully charged.
Once the battery has been charged, the green diode stays on until you
will disconnect the charger from mains network.
Batteries heat up very strongly during charging process. Do not
work just after charging has been finished, wait until the battery
cools down to room temperature. It will prevent battery damage.
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON – SWITCHING OFF
Remove blade bar shield and install battery before switching on.
Hedge trimmer features safe switch that requires both hands to activate.
Switching on – press the switch lock button (3) and hold, then press the
switch button (4) (fig. C).
Switching off – release pressure on the switch button (4) or switch lock

The hedge trimmer will start only when you simultaneously press
the switch lock button (3) with one hand, and the switch (4) with
the other. When one of the buttons is released, the hedge trimmer
stops. Safety brake of the blade will stop the blade in less than 1
second after the switch is released.
INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING SAFE USE
Before starting to work, carefully check the hedge against invisible
objects, such as fence, mesh etc.
• When trimming long branches perform the work gradually, by layers.
• Operate the hedge trimmer only when the hedge is dry.
• After the work is finished put the blade bar shield on (fig. D).
TRIMMING HEDGES
• Besides trimming hedges, the hedge trimmer can also be used to trim
bushes and shrubs.
• The best results can be achieved when guiding the blade bar so it is at
an angle of approx. 15
0
with respect to the hedge.
• Two sided blade bar and counter-acting cutting blades allow cutting
in both directions or with swinging motion (fig. E).
• To obtain uniform height of hedge, it is recommended to extend a
rope or a line along trimmed hedge plane. Cut branches protruding
above the defined line (fig. F).
• To guide the branches into the blade, move the blade bar evenly
forward or backward along the line of cutting.
• Perform hedge sides trimming in arc motions, from bottom to top
(fig. G).

activities related to installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance.
Exercise caution due to sharp edges of cutting teeth. When not in
use, the blade shall always be protected with the blade shield.
