Wet vacuuming
Shut-down procedure
• The filter bag must be removed before using the cleaner for wet
vacuuming. The filter cartridge remains inside the unit. It must
however be dried after wet vacuuming has been completed.
• If the cleaner is consistently used to vacuum liquids, it is
recommended that a coarse filter is installed (order no. 5.731-
025).
Important: If the container is full, the mechanical float closes
the suction inlet, the suction power falls off suddenly, and the
suction turbine runs at increased speed. In this case, turn the
unit off, and empty the container so that the suction turbine is
not damaged. Cleaning can be resumed as soon as the
container has been emptied.
• Within a short period of time wet dirt will start to decay, therefore
empty the container after each use, and wash it out if necessary.
"The results of the testing procedure in accordance with DIN VDE 0700 Part 1 show
that the electrical safety requirements are also fulfilled when the cleaner is used
to vacuum a mixture of water and air."
"The results of the dust particle testing relate solely to the vacuuming of dry dust."
• Switch cleaner OFF (position 0).
• Suction hose and tubes can be washed out with water.
• Tap the filter cartridge to loosen any dirt, and rinse both the inside
and outside under running water. Allow to dry before using
again.
- Either place the filter cartridge with the rubber side face down
on a flat surface and allow it to dry, or place the whole vacuum
assembly on the floor and let the suction turbine run. The filter
cartridge will be dried out by the air current.
- Renew the filter cartridge if it is extremely dirty or damaged.
- Replace the wet filter cartridge with a dry one if the cleaner is
to be changed over immediately from wet to dry vacuuming.
Important: Empty and clean the vacuum cleaner after every
use.
