Operation
Note
S Note that the clamping rod can only be moved if the clamping cartridge is
pressurized or if the screw in compressed air connection 2 is screwed in.
Note
Transverse loadings due to non−aligned guides lead to increased wear.
S Make sure that the piston rod is only loaded in the direction of movement.
S Use a flexo coupling (è Accessories) in order to avoid transverse forces.
Clamping the piston rod whilst moving:
1. Pressurize the compressed air connection of the park position on the cylinder.
2. Exhaust the clamping cartridge and then the cylinder.
Moving out of a clamped parking position:
KP/KPE
1. Pressurize connection 2 on the clamp
ing cartridge with 3 to max. 10 bar.
2. Move the clamping rod into the desired
position.

Protect the clamping rod against dirt.

Oil and grease deposits on the clamping rod will reduce the ability to clamp.
