Knee orthosis with hinges and patella traction system
Purpose:
The Genu PFS PROMASTER is a knee orthosis with a patella pad and hinges for correction
and support of the patella glide path. The orthosis may only be used for knee treatment.
Properties:
• Anatomically shaped patella pad
• Hinges integrated at the sides
• Traction system for correction and support of the patella glide path
• 3D knit fabric covering the patella
• Highly flexible 3D knit fabric in the hollow of the knee
• Elasticated knit bandage
• Latex-free
Indications:
• Patello-femoral pain syndrome
• Severe degenerative changes in the patella glide path
• Post-operative therapy after MPFL and lateral release
• Patellar lateralisation
• Patellar instability
• Patellar luxation and subluxation
• Retropatellar arthrosis
Contraindication:
Do not apply the product in direct contact with broken skin.

No side effects are as yet known for correct use.
Directions for putting on the orthosis:
Before you put it on:
• Please open the calf strap and loosen the patella traction system first.
• To avoid damage to the knit fabric, please make sure that the Velcro
fastened to the provided Velcro
Putting on the orthosis:
• Grasp the orthosis at the top. To make it easier to put it on, grasp the interior donning
loops with your index fingers.
• Turn the orthosis by approximately 90°. Then step into the orthosis with your foot
extended and pull it up over your leg.
• Please make sure that the patella pad is placed correctly around the patella (= kneecap).
• Then close the calf strap. To avoid constriction, please make sure that the strap is not
pulled too tightly. Loosen it if required.
• To adjust the patella traction system individually, simply undo the Velcro
the inside of the leg, pull it upwards along your body with slight tension - until the required
pressure is reached - and then re-fasten it to the Velcro
pads when putting it on and taking it off.
