There is also the so-called "dead-zone" in the radiator which is a non-heating
section just above the heating element that is designed to isolate the element
from the heat (in case when the heater is installed directly into the radiator
and not via T-fitting)
In tight or very high radiators the highest parts may be colder than the rest
of radiator due to the airbag in the top parts. It may happen especially a few
minutes after the heating element starts working.
