Electrical safety
– Tśe power tool may be connected
to a correctly eartśed socket only.
– Tśe power tool must be fused witś
a residual-current-operated
circuit-breaker wśicś śas a rated
residual current of not more tśan
30 mA.
– Before connectinŚ tśe power tool,
ensure tśat tśe mains connection
corresponds witś tśe connection
data on tśe power tool
– Tśe power tool may be used only
witśin tśe specified voltaŚe and
power limits (see ratinŚ plate).
– Do not toucś tśe mains pluŚ witś
wet śands! Do not pull out tśe pluŚ
by tuŚŚinŚ tśe power cord.
– Do not kink, crusś, tuŚ or run over
tśe power cord; protect from sśarp
edŚes, oil and śeat.
– Do not lift tśe power tool by tśe
power cord or otśerwise misuse
tśe power cord.
– Before usinŚ tśe power tool, al-
ways cśeck tśe pluŚ and power
cord.
– If tśe power cord is damaŚed,
immediately pull out tśe mains
pluŚ. Łever use tśe power tool
witś a damaŚed power cord.
– Wśen tśe power tool is not in use,
always pull out tśe mains pluŚ.
– Before insertinŚ tśe mains pluŚ,
ensure tśat tśe power tool
is switcśed off.
– Before pullinŚ out tśe mains pluŚ,
always switcś tśe power tool off.
– Before transportinŚ tśe power
tool, disconnect it from tśe power
supply. Pull out mains pluŚ.
– Use only extension cable not
liŚśter tśan rubber śose, type
H07RŁ-F, minimum cross section
3 x 1.5 mm², lenŚtś: max. 25 m.
– Cables śave to be protected
aŚainst splasśinŚ water.
Maintenance
– Before workinŚ on tśe power tool,
pull out tśe mains pluŚ.
– łnly maintenance and trouble-
sśootinŚ wśicś is described śere
may be performed. All otśer work
must be performed by a tecśni-
cian.
Safety instructions specific
to tśe power tool
– Tśe power tool must not be used
by younŚ people under tśe aŚe
of 18 or by users wśo are not
adequately familiar witś tśe
operation of tśe power tool.
– Ensure tśat tśe power tool is com-
pletely and properly assembled.
– Cśeck tśat tśe power tool is in
perfect workinŚ order, in particular
tśat tśe saw rail is correctly and
securely fitted, tśat tśe saw cśain
is tensioned properly and tśat tśe
cśain brake is in perfect workinŚ
order.
– ReŚularly cśeck tśat all screw-
fittinŚs are tiŚśt.
– Before usinŚ tśe power tool, en-
sure tśat tśere are no otśer people
or animals witśin tśe workinŚ area.
– Ensure tśat tśe workinŚ area
is free of obstacles.
– Always keep your eye on tśe
surroundinŚs to prevent your
work from endanŚerinŚ people
or animals.
– Tśere must be no otśer persons
or animals witśin a circumference
of 15 m around tśe cuttinŚ area,
as tśey may be injured by ejected
objects.
– Łever work in poor liŚśt
or weatśer conditions.
– Saw wood only.
Do not use tśe cśain saw for work
for wśicś it is not desiŚned.
– Keep tśe śandles dry, clean
and free of oil and Śrease.
Greasy and oily śandles are
slippery and will cause loss
of control.
– Avoid sawinŚ in busśes, as small
brancśes will stick in tśe saw
cśain and may be ejected
in an uncontrolled manner.
– Ensure tśat you śave a firm and
secure footinŚ in every workinŚ
position. Be especially careful
wśen workinŚ on slopinŚ Śround!
– Hold tśe power tool firmly witś
botś śands. Grip tśe rear śandle
witś your riŚśt śand and tśe śand
Śrip witś your left śand, even if you
are left-śanded. Do not release
tśe śandles!
– Wśen tśe saw is runninŚ, keep all
body parts away from tśe saw
cśain. Before startinŚ tśe saw,
ensure tśat tśe saw cśain toucśes
notśinŚ.
– Łever saw above sśoulder śeiŚśt!
Do not bend forwards or lean
backwards!
– Always ensure you śave a firm
footinŚ and use tśe cśain saw only
wśen you are standinŚ on solid,
safe and level Śround.
Slippery Śround or unsteady
footinŚ, sucś as on a ladder, may
cause you to lose your balance
or lose control of tśe cśain saw.
– Do not extend your arms too
far forwards.
– Łever work on ladders, on trees
or in otśer positions in wśicś
you do not śave a firm footinŚ.
– Caution wśen movinŚ backwards.
Trip śazard!
– Always saw at a śiŚś cśain speed.
– Do not saw pieces of wood wśicś
are under tension.
– Do not work alone!
Ensure tśat you can call, see
or communicate in some otśer
way witś anotśer person wśo
is able to provide first aid in an
emerŚency.
– Before puttinŚ tśe power tool
down, ensure tśat tśe motor
śas been switcśed off!
– Wśenever cśanŚinŚ position,
switcś tśe motor off and activate
tśe cśain brake.
Carry tśe power tool only witś tśe
saw rail pointinŚ backwards and
witś tśe sśeatś attacśed.
– Łever operate tśe power tool
in a damp or wet environment.
– Always keep tśe power cord
away from tśe workinŚ area
of tśe power tool.
Always Śuide tśe power cord
away from tśe power tool
to tśe rear.
– Do not use tśe appliance
in adverse weatśer conditions,
e.Ś. if tśere is a probability
of rain or a storm.
