Direction of rotation

Caution!
Do not change direction of rotation until
the power tool is at a standstill.
n Set switch for selecting direction
of rotation to the required position:
– Left: counter-clockwise
(unscrew screws)
– Right: clockwise
(drilling, inserting screws)
– Middle: Starting lockout (tool change,
for all work on the power tool)
Switching on the power tool
Switch on the machine:
n Press the switch.
The power tool switch allows the speed
to be increased steplessly up to
maximum.
Switch off the machine:
n Release the switch.
Notes
– The power tool features a brake which
stops the insertion tool as soon as the
switch is released.
– If the power tool is used continuously,
work mostly with the switch fully
depressed.
– If the switch is only gently depressed,
the work light comes on.

Working with the power tool

1. Insert battery.
Caution!
Before performing any work on the power
tool, set the direction of rotation selector (5)
to the middle position.
2. Insert tools.
3. Set torque preselection to the required
level (ALi 10.8 only).
4. Set required direction of rotation.
5. Switch on the device.

Work light

Several models include a work light which
can be operated with the second battery.
n Press the button to switch the light on
and off.
