Charging process

Damage to property!
Use only original batteries in the supplied
battery charger.
n Insert the mains plug of the battery
charger.
The green operating status LED
lights up.
n Insert battery fully into the battery
charger.
The red charging status LED lights up.
The red LED goes out after approx.
1 hour when the battery is fully charged.
n Take the battery out of the battery
charger.
n Pull out the mains plug.
Note
If both LEDs flash alternately when the
battery has been inserted, the battery may
be too cold or too hot. When the battery has
reached a temperature of 5 °C–40 °C,
the red LED should be lit constantly and the
charging process should start. If the LEDs
are still flashing after one hour, the battery
is defective. Pull out the mains plug.

Inserting/changing the battery

n Press charged battery fully into the
power tool.
n To remove the battery, press the release
buttons and pull out the battery.
Inserting the tools
Caution!
Before performing any work on the power
tool, set the direction of rotation selector (5)
to the middle position.
Keyless chuck (ALi 10.8/ALi 10.8 G)
Note
The chuck securely holds drill bits with
a diameter of 0.8–10 mm, ¼" screwdriver
bits as well as ¼" bit holders.
n Hold the power tool with one hand and
rotate the chuck with the other hand.
– To open the chuck, rotate it counter-
clockwise.
