12.3 Converting the Trimmer for Edging
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury from loss of control, ensure that
the loop handle and drive tube are properly adjusted and the
trimmer head adjustment latch are locked and secured at all
times while working.
The trimmer can be converted for use in edging applications.
To convert the FSA 45:
► Switch off the trimmer, @ 14.2.
► Remove the activation key, @ 13.2.

► Depress and hold the drive tube release button (1).
► Turn the loop handle (2) 90° around the drive tube until it
locks.
► Release the drive tube release button.
► Press and hold the trimmer head adjustment latch (4).
► Tilt the drive tube (3) down until it locks.
► Release the trimmer head adjustment latch.

13.1 Inserting the Activation Key
To reduce the risk of severe personal injury from unintended
activation, never store the activation key in the trimmer.
To insert the activation key:

► Place the trimmer on a level surface.
► Insert the activation key (1) into the activation key
13.2 Removing the Activation Key
To reduce the risk of severe personal injury from unintended
activation, always remove the activation key before
assembling, transporting, adjusting, cleaning, servicing,
maintaining or storing the trimmer and any other time it is not
in use.
To remove the activation key:
► Release the trigger switch.
► Place the trimmer on a level surface.
