medi
Rehab one
Intended purpose
medi Rehab one is a round-knit medical
compression stocking for compressive
care of the lower limbs, mainly for
prevention and treatment of post-
operative and post-traumatic oedema
and general swelling.
Indications
Oedema
• Post-traumatic oedema
• Post-operative oedema
Contraindications
• Advanced peripheral arterial
occlusive disease (if one of these
parameters is present: ABPI < 0.5,
ankle arterial pressure < 60 mmHg,
toe pressure < 30 mmHg or TcPO2 < 20
mmHg on dorsum of foot).
• Decompensated heart failure (NYHA
III + IV)
• Septic phlebitis
• Phlegmasia cerulea dolens
Please note:
In the following instances, the
therapeutic decision should be made
by a doctor, who weighs up the
benefits and risks and selects the most
suitable compressive equipment:
• Severe weeping dermatosis
• Patient unable to tolerate
compressive stocking material
• Severe paraesthesia in the limb
• Advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g.
diabetes mellitus)
• Rheumatoid arthritis
Risks and side effects
Medical compression stockings may
cause skin necrosis and pressure
damage to the peripheral nerves,
especially if it is handled incorrectly. If
your skin is sensitive, medical
compression stockings may cause
itching, peeling or signs of
inflammation. Therefore, adequate
skincare applied under the compression
stocking is a must.
Intended patient groups
Healthcare professionals should
provide care to the adults and children,
applying the available information on
the measurements/sizes and necessary
functions/indications and in line with
the information provided by the
manufacturer, and acting under their
own responsibility.
Note on wearing
Unless otherwise prescribed, you
should wear medi Rehab one from
morning to evening. If this duration is
significantly exceeded in exceptional
cases, the top band should be
repositioned several times within this
period.
Daily wearing and washing of your
compression stockings can cause the
compression and elasticity of your
stockings, which are required to make
them medically effective, to deteriorate
over time. The stockings should
therefore only be used for a maximum
of six months.
Special instructions
• If pain or increased irritation of the
skin occurs while you are wearing the
stocking, remove it immediately and
consult your doctor or the medical
specialists.
