SEPARATE CAMERA-INPUT MODULE SIMPLEBUS ART. 1259C
This Simplebus range accessory allows modulation and transmission of the
video signal from 3 cameras (per Art: 1259C), visible with sequential switching
on the monitor together with the image coming from the external unit.
Art. 1259C can be used on Bravo-Kit Color, Genius-Kit Color systems and on
Simplebus Color systems in the stretch before Art. 4888C.
Operation
With the monitor on, the camera sequential switcher can be activated by the
video entry phone using function keys which depend on the type of system and
programming of module 1259C using the 8-way microswitch (S1) as explained
below. The sequential switcher can also be activated by using a clean contact
(C-NO), connecting this to the INA – GND input as per Wiring diagram
SB2V/017B. The camera sequential switcher can also work via sound. Every
time the actuator pushbutton on the monitor is pressed or the manual contact, a
camera is activated in sequence according to the wiring diagram in Figure 1:
(assuming there are 3 cameras connected).

Programming the number of cameras connected
The module has 3 coaxial video inputs which the cameras are connected to,
occupying the terminals in the first free position starting from the bottom. The
number of cameras connected is selected by using switches 7 and 8 of the S1
selector according to Table 1.

1. 1259C BASIC FUNCTION 'GENERIC ACTUATOR MODE'
N.B. Before proceeding to programme the module, see Table 3:
Compatibility of 1259C.
Use the Generic actuator function on the BRAVO video
entry phone pushbutton to control the 1259C module.
On article 5714C, the Generic actuator control can be
used on pushbutton 3, 4 and 5 of the video entry phone
fitted with Art: 5733 (module for optional pushbuttons)
without modification, or by setting one of the pushbuttons
available by means of the hand-held programmer (art.
1251/A). To set the Generic actuator control on the BRAVO-KIT Color, see
"Table for programming the microswitches" in MT KIT 04.
In this mode, with the monitor on, it will be possible to switch all the cameras
connected by repeatedly pressing the of the generic actuator on the video entry
phone.
Microswitch "S1" must be set as shown in Figure 2.
2. 1259C WITH ADDRESS CODE 'ACTUATOR WITH CODE MODE'
N.B. Before proceeding to programme the module, see Table 3:
Compatibility of 1259C
In this mode, the 1259C module can be controlled by
means of the 'actuator' pushbutton with a dedicated code.
To activate the function, programme the pushbutton on the
Bravo bracket by means of hand-held programmer
1251/A and set selector "S1" as shown in Table 2.
In this mode, with the monitor on, by repeatedly pressing
the pushbutton on the video entry phone, it will ONLY be
possible to switch the cameras connected to 1259C with
the corresponding address. Up to 8 1259C modules with
8 different codes can be installed on the same system.

3. MODE FOR BRAVO-KIT
N.B. Before proceeding to programme the module, see Table 3:
Compatibility of 1259C.
Module Art. 1259C can be controlled in this mode by
means of the self-lighting/video request pushbutton of the
Bravo Kit. In the case of self-lighting, repeated pressing of
the self-lighting/video request pushbutton toggles
between the images from the external units installed in
the system.
When the sound is activated (by lifting the receiver),
repeated pressing of the same pushbutton dedicated to self-lighting toggles
between the external unit and the separate cameras (connected to module
1259C).
THE THREE OPERATING MODES ABOVE ARE ALTERNATIVE TO EACH OTHER.
4. MODE WITH SWITCHBOARD 1998A
In parallel with one of the modes described above, it is possible to activate the
module by means of a Video Call from the switchboard. The "switchboard"
function is available by connecting the INA-GND to the OUT-OUT terminals of
Art. 1998A as shown in Wiring diagram SB2V/018B.
N.B. The separate camera module must necessarily be connected to the
outgoing Bus line from LM-LM of the switchboard. Set the switchboard to
Video mode before the call.
The monitor will light up as soon as the receiver is lifted on each video call
coming from the switchboard, and the image displayed will be the one coming
from the first camera connected to 1259C. At this point, with every press of the
control pushbutton (see previous modes) or with every contact/manual closure,
a camera in sequence according to the wiring diagram in Figure 5 is activated
(hypothesis of 3 cameras connected).
