Always place the

• Place the power cord in the slot (C).
• Fit the removable plate onto the base of the
appliance (D).
• Place the collection tray in the cooking position
(E) (F).
• Plug the cord into a mains socket (G): the red
indicator light comes on and the appliance starts to
heat up.
• Set the thermostat to suit the chosen recipe (H). The
position of the thermostat during pre-heating is the
same as that used for cooking.
• Pre-heat the appliance for about 5 minutes (J).

the Thermo-Spot turns solid red
when the appliance is perfectly preheated and ready
to cook.
• On first use, the appliance may smell slightly and
possibly give off smoke for the first few minutes. This
is normal.
• Check that your electric supply is compatible
with the power and the voltage indicated under
the appliance.
• Plug the appliance into a wall socket with an
earth connection.
• If an extension lead is used:
– make sure to choose an extension lead of
equivalent diameter with an earthed socket;
– take all necessary precautions to prevent
anyone tripping over an extension cord.
• If the cord of the appliance is damaged, it must
be replaced by a special cord or unit available
from the manufacturer or its after-sales service.
• This appliance is not intended to be operated by
means of an external timer or separate remote-
control system.
• Parts marked with the logo
contact with foodstuffs and drinks.
NB: Cooking fumes may be dangerous for animals
with particularly sensitive respiratory systems, such
as birds and small mammals. We advise owners to
keep them away from the cooking area.
Always use a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid
damaging the cooking plate.
Do not place cooking utensils on the cooking
surfaces of the appliance.
