GENERAL SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

Do not modify or change in any way the design of the device, since it might imply incompliance with the standards and cause a
loss of the CE marking. The equipment has been designed to meet the requirements for normal operation. It is recommended
to inspect the device regularly, which will permit to maintain the equipment ready for operation. The welder must be serviced in
authorised workshops using original spare parts.
Recommendations regarding safe operation of the device
The operator of the welder must be trained as regards operation and must read thoroughly the manual. It is required to follow the
safety recommendations in the manual. It is required to protect the eyes and the face using protective clothes and welding masks.
The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for damage and accidents caused by incorrect operation of the device.
Electric dangers and safety principles
In case of work with the welder, it is required to follow the industrial safety regulations regarding the welding process, cutting and
connecting elements. Otherwise the principle dangers are the following:
- Inhalation of dangerous substances,
- optical radiation,
- burns,
- fire and explosions,
- electric shock.
Therefore, it is recommended:
- not to modify the device. By no means should the enclosure be opened, and any repairs must be realised by trained personnel
In authorised service points approved by the manufacturer,
- not to remove the protective enclosure and not to touch elements which may be live,
- even in case of slight disturbance of the electric system, to disconnect the welder from the mains and have it inspected by an
authorised service point,
- to check the electric cables before each use. In case any damaged insulation is detected, it is required to replace them with new
ones which are free from any damage. It is prohibited to operate a welder with damaged electric cables,
- not to place metal objects into ventilation slots, not to realise any service tasks of the device alone, to have the device serviced
by trained personnel in service points authorised by the manufacturer,
- to connect the device to the alternative current 230V / 50Hz mains, equipped with a contact and a protective conductor,
- to use a power supply mains equipped with an adequate protective system (thermomagnetic circuit breaker or delay fuses) and
a residual current device of parameters required by the connected device – tripping current 30 mA,
- in certain cases the electric arc current of the welder may be dangerous. It is required to avoid direct contact with the earthing
system (or the element to be welded) as well as with the grip or the electrode,
- to disconnect the plug of the power supply cord from the mains socket each time when the welder is not used anymore.
- not to realise any repairs of a device which us connected to the mains.
Dangers implied by incorrect application of the welder
Do not use the welder close to inflammable materials. Before work it is required to prepare the area, removing any inflammable
materials.
Do not weld containers which contain or contained gases or inflammable and/or toxic substances. It is required to make sure that
all gases have been removed from the area, since otherwise there is a danger of fire, explosions, vapours and poisoning.
It is prohibited to weld in the rai nor while it is snowing, since the welder is not protected from humidity. Disconnect the accessories
from the device, and the device itself must be disconnected from the mains and moved to an area where there is no risk of water
entering the device (danger: electric shock, damage of the device).
Do not work in high humidity atmosphere. (danger: as above).
Do not work in places which are not properly ventilated. The welder is equipped with a fan, but it is required to provide adequate
working conditions. It is required to make sure the device has proper ventilation, and the heat generated by the welder is removed
(danger: damage of the device).
Remove gases and vapours generated during welding, avoid inhaling them. Wear special masks protecting the respiratory sys-
tem. Provide adequate ventilation (danger: intoxication, damage of the device).
Do not stare at the light generated by the electric arc (danger: serious sight damage, see warnings in the next section).
