Instructions for assembly and use
Before assembly
Ensure that the surface on which you wish to assemble the equipment has an adequate
load-bearing capacity .
At least two people are required for the assembly work.
Only assemble steps and crossings vertically on flat surfaces.
During assembly
Maximum load on the steps and crossings (weight of personnel, tools and material) if the
load is evenly distributed: 1.5 kN/m².
Avoid one-sided loads and loads centered on one point.
Use only accessories supplied by the manufacturer to anchor the equipment.
If the walls of a structure are not load-bearing (large glazed areas, corrugated panels,
etc.), always secure side protection (railings, handrails and edging boards) to the side of
the structure.
Before use
Check all the parts to ensure that they have been assembled correctly and are in working
order.
Lock all rollers by pressing down the brake levers.
move the mobile platform with steps.
Before use, after lengthy breaks and in particular after external effects (storms, snowfall,
vibrations, etc.) conduct a visual inspection of the steps and crossings to check for
defects and to ensure that all the requisite parts are present.
During use
Only use the steps to climb up to the work platform .
Do not use lifting gear on the steps or crossings .
Do not store tools or materials on the steps or crossings.
Do not place swinging loads on the steps or crossings. Do not pull loads up whilst on the
steps or crossings.
Do not brace yourself against the side protection. Do not lean on or over the handrails.
Do not jump or climb from the steps and crossings to other steps and crossings .
If you are using the steps and crossings outdoors or in open buildings in strong winds,
when a storm is approaching and when work has ended, roll the steps and crossings into
a place where they are protected from the wind and/or secure the steps and crossings to
prevent them from tipping over .
Steps and crossings that have been assembled on traffic routes must always be secured
to prevent them falling over.
Do not increase the platform height by using ladders, crates or other pieces of
equipment.
