Pursuant to the current German Product Liability Law, the manufacturer of this
equipment cannot accept liability for any damage to this equipment or for personal
injury caused by this equipment in the following cases:
The equipment is not used for its intended purpose.
Repairs are carried out incorrectly or by unauthorized personnel.
Spare parts other than genuine spare parts are used.
The steps and crossings are used with defective or unsafe components.
Inadequately trained assembly and user personnel.
Unauthorized modifications.
Cases of disaster caused by the effects of foreign bodies or forces majeures.
Intended use
The various steps and crossings described in this document are designed exclusively for
gaining access on foot to various heights.
Any other use will be considered incorrect. The manufacturer cannot accept any liability for
resulting damage; this risk shall be borne by the user alone.
All equipment parts may only be used for the purpose for which they are designed and if
they are in perfect technical condition and used, serviced and repaired by trained and
authorized personnel.
If they are not used correctly, there is a risk of death or personal injury. The steps and
crossings and other property may be damaged or destroyed.
For your safety
The operator is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety, work and servicing
regulations and that the equipment is used for the purpose for which it is designed.
The person responsible for assembly, modification and dismantling must ensure that all
this work is supervised or carried out by people with adequate specialist skills to ensure
that the work can be completed correctly and safely.
Alloy steps and crossings require very little servicing. Ensure that the rollers move freely,
the brakes are effective and check that the retaining bolts engage correctly.
The supervisor must check whether there are any electrical systems, overhead cables or
moving parts are in the area of use of the steps / crossings. The safety distances set out in
DIN 75 105/VDE 0105-1 must be maintained.
Please also comply with the relevant laws, standards and regulations, including the
professional association regulations in your country.
Residual risks
The steps / crossings are state of the art and comply with the acknowledged safety
regulations.
Nevertheless residual risks may occur whilst they are being assembled and dismantled and
whilst working with them.
If, for example, the safety equipment provided has not been installed correctly.
Residual risks can be minimized if you comply with all the instructions set out in this
document.
