Preparation of the hedge shears for work
Spread the cutting blade and lock it in a position which is adequate for the task to be executed.
In order to do so press both the locking buttons (XI), modify the position of the blades, and then release the locking buttons (XI).
Make sure the cutting blades are locked in the selected position and are not going to change the position unexpectedly during
work.
Attention! Before work may be commenced make sure the cutting blades are correctly lubricated. In order to do so remove the
blade guard and place a couple of drops of machine oil in the screw holes at the bottom of the blade guide.
Attention! Before work may be commenced remove the guard of the cutting blade. The guard must be kept in order to install it
once the work has been concluded.
Preparation of the garden chain sawing machine for work
Remove the nut and the driving ratchet guard. Install the guide and the chain (XII). The chain must be placed in accordance with
the direction indicated on the links. Make sure the chain is correctly placed in the guide and install the driving ratchet guard so
that adjustment protrusion of the tensioning mechanism is aligned with the appropriate hole of the guide. Insert the side panel
nut, without tightening it.
Adjust the chain tension (XIII). In order to do so hold the upper section of the guide and at the same time rotate the chain tension-
ing screw until the chain cannot be lifted more than 3-4 mm above the guide (XIV). Tighten the fixing nuts and check the tension
of the chain moving it manually.
If necessary readjust the tension of the chain. Once the chain has been properly adjusted tighten the fixing nuts. Attention! Once
the adjustment has been concluded, place the guard on the cutting mechanism, which must be installed directly before work com-
menced. The guard must be kept in order to install it once the work has been concluded.
Attention! A new chain will extend during work. It is required to check the tension of the chain frequently. A loose chain may lead
to a damage of the guide and the chain itself.
Before the sawing machine is turned on, make sure there is lubricating oil in the container. The level of oil must not be lower than
the minimum oil level indication – a circle symbol. At the bottom of the tank there is an oil level dosing handwheel.
Filling the fuel tank (XV)
The device is powered with a fuel mixture for two-stroke motors. It is prohibited to use pure petrol. Mix petrol with oil in the following
proportions: petrol-oil - 40 : 1. The mixture must be prepared before it is filled into the fuel tank. Mixing and filling of fuel must be
carried out far from sources of ignition. Do not smoke during filling fuel. Fuelling must be carried out at least three metres from the
place of start-up and operation of the device.
In order to protect the motor, use a high-quality unleaded petrol and high-quality oil for two-stroke air-cooled motors. Do not use oil
for four-stroke motors. In case of fuel spillage, it is required to wipe out the spillage thoroughly before the device is started.
Do not use mixtures older than 30 days.
Starting and stopping the device
The device must be placed on a clean, even and hard surface. Make sure the cutting element is not obstructed during start-up.
Do not start the device if the additional handle is not correctly installed. In case of the trimmer, it is required to install the cutting
element guard. In case the cutting blade, the hedge shears module or the garden chain sawing machine is selected, it is required
to install the cutting element guard.
Press the fuel pump between ten and twenty times (XVI).
Place the switch in the „I" position (XVII).
Place the choke lever in the „OFF" position (XVIII).
Hold the device with one hand, and pull the starter cord 3 to 5 times (XIX).
Place the choke lever to the "ON" position (XX).
Hold the device with one hand, pulling hard the starter cord with the other one until the motor has started.
Once the motor has started press the lock, and the throttle button in order to start the cutting element.
Attention! Do not start the device holding it with your hands. The cutting element may touch a part of the body causing serious
injuries.
Attention! In case of any unusual sounds or vibrations, immediately turn the device off using the switch.
WORK WITH THE DEVICE
Operation of the trimmer
During work hold the trimmer in such a manner that the cutting element moves always in a plane parallel to the surface of the lawn.
In order to achieve the maxim efficiency of mowing, it is required to adjust the maximum length of the cutting line. In order to do
so, start the trimmer and wait until the motor has reached the maxim rotation, and then slightly hit the cutting line reel fixing bolt
against the ground. This will permit to unwind the cutting line, while the knife placed in the guard will cut it to a correct length. It is
prohibited to support the trimmer on the fixing bolt against the ground. This would cause using the whole cutting line on the reel. If
for any reason the cutting line does not unwind automatically, it is required to stop the motor of the trimmer and unwind the cutting
