Record in the maintenance log when the inspection service was carried out, by
whom: name and signature of person authorized by the company and whether
or not any defects were detected.
If taken out of service then the dates of removal from and return to operation should

1.3 Preventive maintenance procedure for the lifting clamp
What does preventive maintenance entail?

Annually, in category "A", (0 – 18 operating hours per week) and at six month
intervals in category "B", (more than 18 operating hours per week) the lifting
clamp and the parts will be meticulously inspected for cracks, deformation,
damage and proper functioning.

A repairer authorized by IP must carry out this preventive maintenance service.

Parts should be replaced only when they no longer meet our standards. Than, an
approval sticker with year and month will be affixed.
1.4 Overhaul procedure for the lifting clamp
What does an overhaul service entail?

After 5 years, in category "A" (0 – 18 operating hours per week) and once per 3.5
years in case "B" (more than 18 operating hours per week), the lifting clamp must
be extensively inspected to determine the condition of the body and all parts.

A repairer authorized by IP must carry out this overhaul service.

During every overhaul the most critical part (being camsegment) will be replaced
and if necessary, rejected parts. Than, an approval sticker with year and month
will be affixed.

For clamps with a Working Load Limit (W.L.L.) or the maximum weight to be lifted
of 4,5 ton or more, parts will be replaced only when they no longer meet our
standards.
