1. 10 Year warranty for maximum
Inter Product provides a 10 year warranty for its clamps. In order to benefit from this
the following procedures and measures (as stipulated in article g of the Terms and
Conditions of Warranty) must be observed:
- You must instruct and train your staff in the proper use of the clamp, as stated
in the user instructions. Observe these instructions to the letter!
- You must carry out the periodic safety inspections according to the provisions
of the user instructions.
- You must have the preventive maintenance and overhaul services of your
lifting clamp carried out by an IP- accredited repairer. Inter Product will notify
you ca. 1 month prior to the preventive maintenance service of your lifting
clamp.
Inter Product believes in its product for 100% and wants to support you in word and
deed with a view to guaranteeing maximum safety.
You as user however remain the first and most important link.
1.1 Inspection-, maintenance and overhaul protocol for
safety lifting clamps
Decisive for the frequency with which the activities should be carried out is the
number of operating hours per week of the lifting clamp, according to the schedule
on the inside of the cover.
1.2 Safety inspection procedure for the lifting clamp
What does a safety inspection entail?
Twice per year, in category "A" and "B" (see schedule on the inside of the cover), the
lifting clamp will be meticulously inspected for proper functioning. A (safety) officer
authorized by the company should carry out and document in the maintenance log this
inspection according to the following procedures.
The inspection should include the following procedures: (see illustration on page 23 for
the parts reference):
-
Inspect camsegment (A) for wear and defects. The teeth should be sharp
(undamaged!) and free of dirt.
-
Check the body (D) for damage, cracks or deformation (this might indicate
overloading). The clamp must open and close properly. When the operation of
the clamp is stiff or heavy, it should be removed from operation.
-
Check the camsegment shaft (B) for clearly visible wear and/or damage (check
also the roll pin (C) that holds the camsegment shaft).
