3. Automatic time synchronisation

T2
If all of the attempts at picking up a signal lead to no clear time synchroni-
sation, the reception indicator goes up by 1 (to a maximum of 9). The watch
keeps count of any further days with time synchronisation. Thanks to the
internal time-memory, your watch will continue to run throughout such
days with the precision of a quartz watch. As soon as it is possible to pick up
the signal successfully again, your watch gets synchronised and the recep-
tion indicator is reset to '0'.
To ensure the best possible conditions for night-time reception of the time
synchronisation signal, we recommend that you do not wear your watch at
night and that wherever possible you avoid putting it down near to electri-
cal appliances or mobile / cordless phones.
Daily, fully automatic time synchronisa-
tion takes place each night, as long as
the time zone has not been adjusted by
more than +/– 1 hour. A flashing dot on
the LCD display indicates that the signal
is being received. When the automatic
time synchronisation has successfully
finished, the dot on the LCD display
stops flashing. The time signal always
changes the date automatically. The pro-
cess takes into account both the 29th
February in leap years and winter/sum-
mer time.
