7.2
Sensor
The CS LD 1.0 is constantly che-
cking the sensor for the correct
feedback signal. If the sensor is
not fully inserted into the five-pin
socket, or if it is defective, the unit
cannot be properly conditioned
during the "Warm Up" mode. In
the event that the sensor is not
present, not properly connected,
or depleted, the "Check Sensor"
message screen pictured in Fig. 15
will appear.

Additionally, if the unit becomes
unstable during its operation, it is
an indication that the sensor may
be defective and requires replace-
ment.
7.2.1
Removing and reseating
the sensor
•
Power OFF the unit.
•
Remove the sensor assembly
by gently pulling the sensor

straight off the socket (see Fig.
16). Do not twist the sensor
while removing.
•
Reseat the sensor by aligning
the keyway notch in the sensor
with the raised keyway on the
sensor socket holder (see Fig.
16).
!
Do not force the sensor into the
socket. Misalignment can dama-
ge the sensor pins.
•
Power on the unit and wait for
normal operation to resume.
•
If the 'Check Sensor' message
re-appears after start up, the
sensor must be replaced.
7.2.2
Replacing the sensor
If reseating the sensor did not clear
the 'Check Sensor' message, then
it is necessary to obtain and install
a new sensor. Refer to Section 12
for the correct sensor part number.
•
Ensure that the unit is powered
OFF.
•
Remove the old sensor by
pulling the sensor straight off
the socket (see Fig. 16). Do not
twist the sensor while removing.
