USER SHUNT MODULE WITH INCORPORATED LINE
PROTECTION ART. 1415
Art. 1415 allows the branching of up to 4 internal units (with different address
for each output) from the riser, and also acts as line protection, isolating the
branches in case of excessive absorption or short circuit. The device can be
used in systems with Simplebus 2 and Simplebus Color wiring and does not
require any additional power supply, in being fed by the 2-wire bus. Up to 100
users can be connected for each mixer Art. 4888, Art. 4888C irrespective of
the number of Art. 1415 used, and up to 3 internal units can be connected in
cascade for each output of Art. 1415.

L OUT L OUT BUS line output.
LINE PROTECTION FUNCTION
The line protection function allows the branch line to be automatically isolated
in case of short circuit. If this occurs, the corresponding output LED lights up to
signal the fault (Fig. 2A). To reinstate the line, after eliminating the problem it is
necessary to move the output jumper to position B until the LED (Fig. 2B) goes
off, then move the jumper to position A (Fig. 2C).

For correct operation, use this product only in conjunction with the
following mixers having the same or higher revision index to that
indicated, Art. 4888 (VER. 003), Art. 4888C (VER. 004), Art. 4888CU
(VER. 001).
The revision index of the mixers can be found on the inside of the door
(Fig. 3).

JUMPER SETTING FOR CONNECTION DISTANCES
Depending on the type of cable used and the distance between the furthest internal unit
of the user branch and the mixer, the jumper of the output in use must be arranged
according to the settings given in Table 1.
For all other distances refer to MT/SBC/01, MT/SB2/01, FT/SBC/04 and FT/SB2/15.
