Notice
The sensor holder must be allocated on the basis of the part numbers of the installation position, and mounted so that
all plug connections of the sensors point to the right.
Disconnect battery.

Remove the following vehicle components in line with the vehicle's ELSA repair manual:
Rear bumper cover
Luggage compartment floor covering
Right side trim luggage compartment
Remove the top and bottom trims for the tailgate
D-pillar trim, right side

Notice
The sensor installation holes -1- must be drilled in the positions marked -2- on the inside of the bumper cover (see
installation overview).
Punch the centre points of the marks and drill from the inside to the outside using the drill bit -3- from the assembly
tool for PDC holder -VAS 6614C-.

Installation holes with a diameter of 18.4 mm are required for the sensors. Suitable screw punches are part of the
assembly tool for PDC holder -VAS 6614C-.
Place the ∅ 18.4 mm screw punch with a screw -1-, washer -2- and counter bearing -3- from the inside of the
bumper cover -5- on one of the pre-drilled holes.
Screw on puncher -4- and tighten screw -1-.
Notice
The puncher -4- must not revolve on the bumper cover paint.
Pull the puncher -4- through the material of the bumper cover -5- (arrows) by turning the screw -1-.
Repeat the work steps with the ∅ 18.4 mm screw punch at the other pre-drilled holes.

Slightly grind the inside of the bumper cover -6-.
Thoroughly clean the bumper cover and the sensor holders with the cleaning solution.
Apply a very thin layer of the bonding agent for plastics to the bumper cover and allow to dry for 10 minutes.
Push sensor -8- on the centring mandrel ∅ 18.4 mm -1- from the assembly tool for PDC holder -VAS 6614C- and
push through the bumper cover -6-.
Push on counterholder -4- and slightly tighten knurled nut -5-.
Push on clamping clasp -3- and apply the knurled nut-2-, do not tighten.
Prepare all further holders up until this work step.
Apply the adhesive as shown in illustration and tighten knurled nut -2-.
Notice
The adhesive must not run into the kink.
The bumper cover must not be moved during the minimum hardening time of 30 minutes.
After the minimum hardening time, remove all centring mandrels.
