Course of action: (Fig. a and Fig. b)
1. Lift hand wheel, release spring by turning the hand wheel anticlockwise.
2. Unscrew spring cover (DN8 - DN25) and/or flange screws (DN40 - DN50) evenly.
3. Remove spring cover (2) and spring (3).
4. Loosen cover (6) with a 2-pin wrench / open-ended wrench, remove return
spring (4). Replace O-ring (5) on cover.
5. Unscrew the sealing plugs (8) and replace the O-ring (7), then reinstall and
tighten them.
The continued course of action depends on the version of the pressure reducer.

(Fig. c and Fig. b)
6. Remove sleeve (9) (for DN8 - DN25 only) and diaphragm plate (10), remove
diaphragms (11), remove cone seal (15) downwards.
7. Remove locking ring (12) in housing using circlip pliers, remove washer (13) and
replace O-ring (14). Reinstall washer and locking ring.
8. Insert new seal cone (15) and return spring (4) and screw in cover (6) and tighten
it.
9. Insert diaphragms (11), push diaphragm plate (10) through the diaphragm hole
with the pin. Fit sleeve (9) (for DN8 - DN25 only). Install spring cover (2) with
spring (3). In doing so, tighten spring cover at 20 +2 Nm torque and evenly
tighten the flange screws (for DN40 and DN50) at 30 +2 Nm torque.

(Fig. d and Fig. b)
6. Remove seal cone (17); for DN8 – DN15, remove the entire spindle-diaphragm
unit upwards. For DN20 – DN50, tighten with an Allen key on the bottom side of
the spindle (16) and loosen the hexagonal nut (18). Remove diaphragm plate (19)
and diaphragms (11). Remove the spindle downwards.
7. Remove locking ring (12) in housing using circlip pliers, remove washer (13) and
replace O-ring (14). Reinstall washer and locking ring.
8. For DN8 – DN15, insert the preassembled spindle-diaphragm unit from above
and slide on the new seal cone (17) from below. For DN20 – DN50, insert the
spindle (16) from below and slide on the new seal cone (17) from below, slide
the diaphragms (11) over the spindle from the top and fit the diaphragm plate
(19). Fit the nut (18) by hand until the diaphragm plate cannot be turned any
more and tighten it with a 1/4 turn; in doing so, tighten from the bottom at the
spindle's hexagonal socket. Apply Loctite 249 to the nut to lock the screw.
9. Insert return spring (4) and install cover (6). Fit sleeve (9) (for DN8 - DN25 only).
Install spring cover (2) with spring (3). In doing so, tighten spring cover at 20 +2
Nm torque and evenly tighten the flange screws (for DN40 and DN50) at 30 +2
Nm torque.
