Wiring
WARNINGS:
•All field wiring must have insulation suitable for voltage to be applied.
• Turn off power before servicing any device.
• Please check the ambient and operating temperatures in the Operating
Instructions for the specific configuration you are about to use or install.
• In potentially explosive atmospheres, open the enclosure only when Pointek
CLS500 is not energized.
Notes:
• The transmitter is in operation when the power supply is switched on.
• Only qualified personnel are authorized to install and operate this equipment in
accordance with established safety practices and standards.
• The Protective Earth Terminal must be connected to reliable ground.
• A circuit breaker or switch in the building installation, marked as a disconnect
switch, shall be in close proximity to the equipment and within easy reach of the
operator.
WARNING: Damage or removal of the protective label voids the
warranty for the Pointek CLS500.
1. Loosen the retaining set-screw and remove the enclosure cover.
2. Loosen the cable gland and thread the cable through it.
3. Connect the power / signal conductor wires to the current loop terminal block
polarity).
4. Ground the enclosure.
5. Check to ensure all connections are good.
6. Tighten the cable gland to form a good seal.
