Before reporting service on your Thermex range hood, it is important that you read the installation and/or user instructions carefully. It ensures that
Thermex can provide you the best possible assistance.
Service department at Thermex can be contacted in preparation to:
•
Technical support for installation and installation of your range hood.
•
Clarification of functionalities in your hood.
•
Service Request during the warranty on your hood ..
Before a service request during the warranty always try to disconnect the power to the hood for about 5 min. Then plug the power back on to see if the
problem is corrected.
If the problem is not corrected, disconnect the power supply to the hood for one hour. If the hood is still not functioning properly after the power has
been off for an hour, and in the troubleshooting charts are reviewed, contact the service department.
NOTE: For inquiries within the warranty, you will be asked for proof of your purchase in the form of a sales receipt. Therefore, always store your purchase
receipt
Before the request for service requests within the warranty, it is important to have all the necessary information ready:

•
The type and serial number of the hood (on the chassis plate)
•
Information on the puchase
TROUBLE SHOOTER
PROBLEM
The hood is not working
The extraction of the range hood is not suffi-
cient
Icon 8 is lighting
Icon 9 is lighting
Icons 4 and 6 are flashing
Icon 8 is flashing
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The hood is not connected to the power supply
Cleaning mode is activated.
The duct is jammed or blocked
The filters are dirty and clogged.
The hood has run for 30 hours, which is why it
is indicating that the filters need cleaning.
When the hood has run for 120 hours, the
indicator will switch on. This happens even if a
recirculation filter has not been installed.
Something is preventing the hood from
moving freely up and down.
This means that the grease filter is not
mounted correctly.

SOLUTION
Check that the hood is connected to the power
supply. Unplug for approximately 5 min, and
connect it again to check if the fault is still there.
Wait 3 minutes until the cleaning mode has
turned off automatically, or hold down the
on/off button until the hood turns off.
Check the duct, and repair if necessary.
Check if the filters are clean, and clean if neces-
sary. See the section cleaning and maintenance
in this manual.
Clean the filters.
The indicator is reset by holding one finger
down on the indicator for approximately 5
seconds until the light turns off.
Replace the filter.
The indicator is reset by holding down the
button for approximately 5 seconds until the
light turns off.
The blockage must be removed and the on/
off hood icon will then need activating in
order for the hood to move up and down.
Mount the filter correctly
The alarm is reset by activating the on/off
hood icon, and thereby lowering the hood
back down onto the worktop.
