Creating a radio group
Only the two radio modules currently being programmed should be put in to operation, and not all
at the same time.
Press and hold the button (fig. 1.2 ) on a radio module for 2–3 seconds. The red LED (fig. 1.1 ) will
then begin to flash approx. once a second. Release the button. The radio module will now be

in programming mode for approx. 60 seconds.
Then immediately press and hold the button (fig. 1.2 ) on the next radio module for 2–3 seconds.
The red LED (fig. 1.1 ) will then begin to flash approx. once a second. Release the button. The radio
module will now be in programming mode for approx. 60 seconds. Both radios will automatically
add each other to a radio group. This process can take up to 60 seconds in total.
If successful, the red LEDs (fig. 1.1) on both radio modules will light up for approximately
2–3 seconds.
If the red LEDs have not lit up for 2–3 seconds after 60 seconds, the process was unsuccessful
and the radio modules will return to normal mode. In this case, repeat the process. Up to 30 radio
modules can be assigned to a radio group.
Extending an existing radio group
Only the two radio modules currently being programmed should be put in to operation, and not all
at the same time.
To extend an existing radio group, put any radio module from the radio group to be extended into
programming mode by pressing and holding the button (fig. 1.2 ) module for 2–3 seconds. Do not
connect the radio module's three-pin connector (fig. 1.3) to the smoke detector for the other radio
modules.
The red LED (fig. 1.1 ) will then begin to flash approx. once a second. Release the button.
The radio module will now be in programming mode for approx. 60 seconds.
Then immediately press and hold the button of the radio module that is to be added for 2-3 seconds.
The red LED will then begin to flash approx. once a second. Release the button. The radio module
will now be in programming mode for approx. 60 seconds. The radio module to be added will
automatically be added to the existing radio group. This process can take up to 60 seconds in total.
