Up to 8 independent radio groups can be programmed to avoid interference between modules
e.g. in multi-tenant buildings.
Radio modules in the same radio group must be located within the same building and cannot be
partially installed in neighbouring buildings.

operating mode
Each detector/radio module receiving a radio directly from the initiating module within its radio
group automatically forwards this signal once. The signal is only forwarded if the channel is free in
order to avoid a data collision. When the signal is forwarded, the sending detector confirms this by
emitting three to four short tones at an interval of about 5 seconds. Once the channel is free again,
the next detector/radio module forwards the signal and confirms etc.
When the battery is low, the smoke detector displays this locally as described in the instructions.
The radio module also automatically measures the battery power independently approximately
every 20 minutes. The battery is classed as low at approx. 6.9 V so the message is sent only after
the fault message from the smoke detector itself is displayed. The message is displayed on the
PROTECTOR control panel if this is used. When the low battery signal is forwarded, the sending
detector confirms this by emitting three to four short tones at an interval of about 5 seconds.
Once the channel is free again, the next detector/radio module forwards the signal and confirms etc.
NoTE: Please refer to the smoke detector's instructions.
