Electrical connection with terminals

Electrical connection must be carried out by an electrician authorised by the local
energy supply company and in accordance with the applicable local regulations
[e.g. VDE regulations].

For RS485 the connection terminals are marked A(-) and B(+). The marking corres-
ponds to the standard. Nonetheless, some manufacturers mark A and B the other way
around. This can result in communication problems.
RS485 does not allow loops, star-connected wiring or spur lines. All devices must be
wired in series.

Electrical connection with RJ45 plug connection

Electrical connection must be carried out by an electrician authorised by the local
energy supply company and in accordance with the applicable local regulations
[e.g. VDE regulations].
The CIF module contains an Ethernet switch. Only one connection to the mains is re-
quired for this function. The second connection can be used to connect additional
devices to the mains.

Carry out installation as described in the previous section.
Carry out electrical installation of the pump as specified in the relevant installation
and operating instructions.
Check the technical data of the electric circuits being connected to ensure they
are compatible with the electrical specifications of the CIF module.
Connect the wires in accordance with corresponding drawing (Fig. 1 to Fig. 4).
If there is no outgoing line, then set BUS terminal resistors for RS485/CAN (both
switches to "ON").
Check the terminal box gasket for any visible damage.
Close the terminal box lid with the screws provided so that the gasket is tight all
around.
Carry out installation as described in the previous section.
Carry out electrical installation of the pump as specified in the relevant installation
and operating instructions.
