SAFETY MEASURES

- Lifting trolley's safety axis: insert it in the safety notch before any manoeuver with a raised load. This axis prevents
the platform from lowering in case of accidental breaking or a hydraulic leak.
- Descent regulator inside the jack: To insure a slower descent of the jack.
- Safety valve inside the jack: Prevents a sudden drop of the platform in case of a rupture of the hydraulic hose.
Systematically lower the load in the event of prolonged rest. If the Spotlift is being used, the
working zone must be free of obstacles and people who are not affected to the current operation/
maintenance of the vehicle

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

A simple visual check-up is recommended to prevent any potential malfunction or failure while in use. All the checking
must be done with the pneumatic supply disconnected and the fork in low position.
Regularly check the good state of hydraulic hose and the connections. Also regularly check the oil level in the
hydropneumatic pump. Checking the oil level must be done while the pump is idle and the lifting accessories in low
position.
Remove the lid with the gauge to check the oil level
- Replace the hydraulic oil every 12 months, or more often depending on the use of the Spotlift. Use imperatively the
oil LUBRILOG L HV22 (GYS Reference 053397, 1 liter container). 2.5 liters are necessary to completely replace the oil
in the pump. Always use a funnel equipped with a filter to prevent impurities or rubbish from entering the tank, which
could compromise the lifetime of the pump.
The used oil will have to be disposed of in accordance with the laws and regulations that apply.
- Clean the pump's exhaust silencer every 6 months by blowing compressed air. Replace it
if necessary.
- Grease or lubricate the chain with an appropriate product every 2 months, or more often
depending on the use of the Spotlift.
- Clean the SPOT LIFT at least once a week to remove the dust and dirt that could impair
the good function of the device in the long term. Use self-cleaning dust cloths. Do not use
water nor flammable/corossive liquids.
- The reparations must be done by qualified personnel. The spare parts are available from
the GYS manufacturer.
- Each device that seems damaged in any way, that does not work properly, or that has
parts missing must be immediately put out of service.
- Don't use it if you notice that some parts are broken, bent, cracked or damaged.
