Switching on with lock-on function:
To start the machine, press the On/Off switch 9
and then press the lock-on button 6. Release the
On/Off switch.
For switching off, briefly press the On/Off switch until
the Locking button disengages. Release the On/Off
switch.
Restarting Protection
The restarting protection feature prevents uncontrolled
restarting of the machine after an interruption in the
power supply.
Restarting the Machine
To restart the operation, switch the On/Off switch
9 to the Off position and start the machine again.
Infinitely Variable Speed Control
Depending on the amount of pressure applied to the
On/Off switch, the speed can be variably adjusted to
the preselected rate.
Speed Preselection (Electronic)
With the thumbwheel 10, the required speed can be
preset (even during operation). When working for
longer periods at low speed, cool down the machine
by running it with maximum speed at no-load for 3 min-
utes.
Selecting the Rotation Direction
Grasp the rotation selector switch 5 on both sides.
Set the Rotation selector switch to right or left rotation
as required.
Adjust the rotation selector switch only when the
machine is at a complete stop.
When the rotation selector switch 5 is set between the
"R" and "L" position, the machine cannot be switched
on.
Left-hand rotation, as an example, allows for screws or
nuts to be unscrewed.
Electronic Torque Limitation
(Torque-Control)
The effective torque at the drill spindle can be deter-
mined with thumbwheel 7.
1 = low torque
10 = maximum torque
When the preset torque is reached, as an example
when driving in screws, the machine switches off.

Working Advice
Sharpening Drill Bits
When drilling metal, only use properly sharpened HSS
drill bits (HSS = High Speed Steel). The Würth pro-
gram ensures the appropriate quality.
Dust Extraction
Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful
to one's health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can
cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory
infections of the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are consid-
ered as carcinogenic, especially in connection with
wood-treatment additives (chromate, wood preserva-
tive). Materials containing asbestos may only be
worked on by specialists.
• Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
• It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respira-
tor.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials being worked on.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself,
pull the mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always
keep the machine and ventilation slots
clean.
