3.2 Controlling the valve terminal
Always control the valve terminal in a uniform mode. Pre-
ferably with all control signals positive-switching
(1-switching) or all control signals negative-switching
(0-switching). Control in mixed mode is not permitted.
3.3 Address assignment of the valve solenoid coils

Addresses must be assigned in ascending order, from
left to right, on the individual valve locations from the
rear to the front.

A valve location occupies 1 (CPA...-EV1) or 2 (CPA...-
EV2) addresses depending on the sub-base block. If a
sub-base block occupies 2 addresses, the following
assignment applies:
– pilot solenoid 14 occupies the lower-value address,
– pilot solenoid 12 occupies the higher-value address.
A certain pin on the multipin plug is assigned to each valve
coil for controlling the valves.
