Inserting batteries

• Use only alkaline batteries of the type LR 03 (AAA)
(e.g. Duracell-Ultra) as supplied with this product.
• Remove the battery cover (F) and insert two
batteries with correct polarity (see symbol in the
battery compartment (E)).
• New batteries (Duracell-Ultra) will provide
approximately 300 measurements.
• Only discard of empty batteries. They should not
be disposed of in the household waste, but at
appropriate collection sites or at your dealer.
• Repeat a measurement no sooner than after
3 minutes.
Key rules for accurate blood pressure
measurement
• Blood pressure should be measured on
a patient to be seated who has had a rest of
approx. 3-5 minutes. If indicated, a measurement
can also be taken on a person in supine position
(refer to «Measurement on a person in supine
position»). During measurement, the patient
should not move, nor speak.
• Prior to the measurement, the patient should avoid
heavy physical exercise or psychic excitement.
