Set the steam control to position 0 (= no steam).

Set the required ironing temperature (see chapter 'Preparing for use',
section 'Selecting the temperature and steam setting').

Make sure that there is water in the water tank.

Put the iron on the stand.

Put the mains plug in the wall socket.
The iron starts heating up. As soon as the water in the water tank is
,
hot enough for steam ironing, the temperature light goes out.

Set the appropriate steam setting (see chapter 'Preparing for use',
section 'Selecting the temperature and steam setting').
Note: The iron starts to produce steam as soon as it reaches the set
temperature.
Note: Steam ironing is only possible at higher ironing temperatures
(temperature settings 2 to MAX).
