MOUNTING THE EXTENSION POLE
Codes 703-705L-XL-706 Ref. fig. F.1
The extention pole is an accessory and is not mounted on the standard machine (except for models Plus
705L-XL). In the Plus models the extension pole is pre-assembled and it isn't possible to remove it from
the machine. If you receive a new Giulivo in the original packaging, the head and the standard pole are
already separated. If your Giulivo is already in use, to allow the mounting of the extension pole you have
first of all to separate the head by the standard pole -P- by unscrewing the 4 screws -C- and the head
support –A-. After keeping the standard pole -P- out of the head support -A- then you have to separate
the two connectors -B- and -M-. At this point head and standard pole are separated and you are ready to
mount the extension pole.
Take the standard pole -P- and insert it together with the connector -M- into the bottom -Y- of the
extension pole. To facilitate the insertion of the standard pole and of the cable, rotate the extension pole
bottom up and push the standard pole and the cable into it up to the point when they come out of the
locking device -L- which lever will be rotated to allow the insertion of the standard pole. The extension
pole is now mounted and you can fix it at the desired length until to obtain a maximum length of the
pole. Now you will mount the head of the machine by following the instructions.
Notice (only 703 e 706): when moving the extension pole to the desired length, up and down, keep the
machine not in touch with the ground and at a certain angle to facilitate the movement of the cable into
the pole. Keeping the bottom of the machine pole in contact with the ground, could cause the jamming
of the cable while moving the extension down.
10. DRIVING BELT REPLACEMENT
Codes 703-705L-XL- Ref. fig. G.1
To replace the driving belt you have first of all to disassemble the tines. Then loosen the locking device of
the head holder and bent it opposite to the main switch, unscrew the motor cover and remove it,
disconnect the cables and detach the head holder. Loosen the screw locking the electric motor shaft and
free the electric motor. Unscrew the screws holding together the two parts of the machine head.
Assembly the driving belt: Before assembling the driving belt, clean up the inside of the machine,
lubricate the bearings and check their free rotation. Position the pulley holes on the pin previously
mounted in their housing, checking at the same time that the bearing get in its housing. All the pulleys
will be properly positioned if the small arrows moulded on the pulleys will be in the positions indicated in
figure. Before assembling the driving belt, line up the notch of the driving belt tension shaft to the 0° as
indicated in figure. To assemble the driving belt you will start from pulleys 1 and 6, then follow the
