Technical Description

2.1 General
The 5027 Sampler can be used for several of FOSS Analytical's analysis systems in-
cluding SCABA, Aquatec®, FIAstar®, GrapeScan, MilkoScan and WineScan. The
Sampler contains a microprocessor and a memory facility in which the equipment's
different positions for selecting and fetching samples are stored.
Simply connect a cable and it is ready to go, controlled from the analyser via a serial
port (this port is marked "Tecator interface" at the rear of the Sampler). This can be
done from any Windows PC. In this way the 5027 Sampler may be integrated with
many analytical systems as a reliable and easy-to-use sample presentation machine.
The Sampler enables entire sample batches to be run automatically. The Sampler can
handle different sizes of sample cups and is designed to handle long continuous batch
runs. As the Sampler is fully automatic, it is extremely easy to use. All the user needs
to do manually is to load the sample trays and calibration cups. The Sampler is a du-
rable product and also withstands external environment effects. It operates quietly
and moves smoothly.
