General
The 5027 Sampler Unit is designed to be used in a wide range of FOSS Analytical
systems. It combines directly with either the Aquatec®, FIAstar ®, SCABA, Milko-
Scan or WineScan the moment it arrives on your lab bench.
Choose from four different turntables: 32, 56, 64 or a 120 position turntable, and four
cup sizes: 4, 12, 30 or 100 ml. Choose the best solution for your lab or use different
sample tray configurations for different tasks in the lab. All you have to do is to ex-
change the sample racks and turn a switch on the control panel. The microprocessor
then automatically selects the appropriate function mode from preprogrammed in-
structions.

Voltage Feed
Mains Voltage Selector
A mains voltage selector is located at the rear of the sampler and is used for setting
the correct mains voltage. You are setting the mains voltage selector with help of a
screwdriver or a coin. The selector has the following positions:
Neutral, 100V, 115V, 130V, 200V and 230V, refer to Fig. 4:1.
When the sampler is delivered, the selector is in the neutral position (marked with a
line) and there are no fuses fitted. The neutral position means that the primary voltage
loop in the sampler is open.
Note:
Never connect the sampler to the mains before setting the mains voltage se-
lector into the desired position and fitting the fuses.

Fuses
Two types of fuses are delivered with the sampler. Choose the appropriate fuse in ac-
cordance with the following table:

100-130 V
200-230 V
Fit the fuses as shown in Fig. 4:2.
