1. DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MACHINE

1.1. Scope of the manual

This manual provides the instructions necessary for correct and safe use of the
"VERTIGO C-L 30V" electrical olive harvester, herein referred to as the "machine",
manufactured by Castellari S.r.l., in Imola (BO). Before using the machine, it is
important to read and follow the instructions carefully outlined in this manual since
regular operation and duration over time of the machine depends on compliance with
the instructions outlined, together with correct maintenance. 16 16 16

NB: This manual is an integral part of the machine. It must always accompany it if moved
or resold. You are advised to keep it in a safe place, of which all users must be informed.

1.2. Identification of the machine

The machine is equipped with an identification plate which outlines the following data:
 Manufacturer's name and full address;
 Name of the product;
 Indication of PPE to use;
 Indication of danger.
"CE" mark and year of manufacture printed directly on the equipment.

1.3. Description of the machine and technical data

Vertigo (C-L 30V) is a machine designed to make it easier and more convenient
to harvest olives while completely respecting the plant. The shape and
movement of the teeth on the olive harvester in fact prevent violent mechanical
stress that could damage the plant.

Fruit fall by gentle shaking causes by movement of the combs. The automation unit
with the reduction gears is positioned on the upper part of the machine.
The operating head is located at the end of a telescopic pole that allows the head with
the combs to reach the top of the trees from which fruit is collected.

The telescopic movement pole is equipped with a rapid locking system to easily and
quickly adjust the appropriate working length. The machine is equipped with a 15
metre extension cable whose ends have two clips attached for connection to the
power supply battery.
