Press the torch trigger to strike the pilot arc. If you do not
start cutting, after 2 seconds, the pilot arc goes out and
then to turn it back on, press the trigger again.
Do not keep the pilot arc lit unnecessarily in the air: this
will increase consumption of the electrode, diffuser and
nozzle.
Connect the clamp of the ground cable to the workpiece
sure that the clamp and the workpiece are in good elec-
trical contact, especially with painted sheet metals, ox-
idized, or insulated metal. Do not connect the clamp to
the piece of material to be removed.
Hold the torch upright while cutting.
At finished cutting and after having released the trigger,
air will continue to leave the torch to allow it to cool.
Do not turn off the unit before the end of this time.
For CP70C MAR torch
With cutting current from 20 to 45 A and 0.9 mm noz-
zle and with cutting current from 45 to 70 A and 1.1 mm
nozzle, it is possible to make a cut by directly supporting
nozzle protection on the workpiece (drug cut).
For CP162C MAR torch
With cutting current from 20 to 40 A and a 0,90 mm diam-
eter nozzle it is possible to make a cut directly supporting
the nozzle to the workpiece (drag cut).
For currents higher than 40 A it is essential to use the
spring-loaded spacer or two tips to avoid putting in direct
contact the nozzle cap with the piece to be cut (standoff
cut).
In case you need to make holes or should start the cut
from the center of the workpiece (see fig. 4), you must
hold the torch at an angle and slowly straighten it so that
the molten metal is not sprayed onto the nozzle protec-
tion. This must be done when making holes in pieces
more than 3 mm.
If making circular cuts, we recommend to use the special
caliper supplied upon request. It's important to remind
that the caliper may make it necessary to employ the
above-mentioned starting technique.

CP70C DAR and CP162C DAR Cebora torches:
Follow the instructions contained in the cutting chart
regarding the pierce height, the working height and the
maximum cutting thickness in function of the current (see
fig. 5). Moreover, refer to the instruction manual of the
optional kit art.441 for pantograph connection.

Air 5.5 bar
To cut drilled plates or grids, select this operating mode.
For the material settings, gas and cutting current, refer to
paragraph 4.1, as well as for the adjustment of the work-
ing pressure. When cutting is completed, keep the knob
pressed and the pilot arc will restart automatically.
Use this function only if required, to avoid excessive
wearing of the electrode and of the nozzle.
