Answering machine
Delay
You can set the number of rings after which the
answering machine is activated. The options are
2, 4, 6 or 8 rings.
 Select DELAY.
 Select 2, 4, 6, 8 RINGS or ECONOMY (the
call charge saving function) and confirm with
MENU.

Economy mode

In economy mode, you can avoid unnecessary
call charges when checking the answering ma-
chine from an external line (for more on <?>re-
mote enquiry see the section "Remote enquiry"
on page ). In economy mode, the answering ma-
chine switches on after four rings for the FIRST
caller. For every subsequent call, the answering
machine switches on after the first ring.
If you would like to make a remote enquiry to
see if there are any new messages, call your tele-
phone connection from an external line.
